Why Outdoor Wear Needs Special Care

Outdoor wear uses special fabrics and processes (DWR coating, taped seams). Incorrect washing destroys these features, dramatically reducing waterproof and windproof performance.

Hard Shell Washing

Cold machine wash (gentle) or hand wash. Use outdoor-specific cleaner or neutral detergent (no fabric softener/bleach). Water temp ≤30°C. Air dry in shade or tumble dry low. Reactivate DWR with low-temp iron (no steam) after drying.

Windbreaker Washing

Cold gentle hand wash only. No scrubbing. Air dry in shade (UV degrades fabric). Fold for storage to preserve loft.
