Misconception 1: Higher cotton content is always better.

Wrong. School uniforms cannot simply pursue high cotton content. Children in grades 1-2 sweat a lot, and uniforms with 50%+ cotton content shrink 5% after one wash, and shoulders collapse after three washes. The best cotton content for public school uniforms is 30-40% — comfortable against the skin but not easy to shrink.

Misconception 2: Darker colors are more dirt-resistant.
